While many NFT projects were led by genuinely talented artists with strong creative vision, it was not uncommon for other critical areas, particularly marketing and overall brand presentation, to feel far less refined, often lacking the same level of professionalism and strategic execution.
In spring 2021, I began exploring the emerging NFT space. As a longtime admirer of artists and original artwork, I was particularly intrigued by the ability of NFTs to provide digital creators with authentic provenance for their work.
I was drawn to SkullX’s pixel artwork and loved the artist’s active presence. I reached out to their small three-person team and offered my assistance on a volunteer basis. I created a brand identity as well as the majority of their marketing material for multiple collection campaigns.
The SkullX universe features 10 different realms, each with its own unique style and overall feel.
